Join us for an inspiring evening to celebrate Pro-Microfinance International and
Paper to Pearls, two unique micro-enterprise projects making a difference in Africa.

Our venue is an historic Victorian row house in the heart of Dupont Circle, just across from the Dupont Circle metro. Please take a look at www.darlingtonhousedc.com. The evening will include a silent auction, a raffle, and a DJ (Congolese music!).

Please circulate this Evite widely among friends and colleagues!

Promicrofinance, Empowering Women

Pro-Microfinance International (PMI) is a non-profit organization that empowers women and men in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC.) PMI gathers and ships used clothing and textiles from the US to the DRC where program participants re-sell the items for profit to improve their lives and the lives of their families.

Paper to Pearls is an initiative of Voices for Global Change, a not-for-profit organization working for the empowerment of women and youth worldwide. Paper to Pearls works with women from the internal refugee camps of Northern Uganda who make beautiful jewelry from recycled paper. This poverty alleviation program is transforming the lives of 125 women, their families and communities.
